I absolutely loved the charming and cozy decor of this hotel. It had a nice vintage feel with beautiful antique furniture and decorations. The sitting areas in the lobby and lounge were very comfortable, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. The hotel also had convenient ramps and elevators, making it easily accessible for senior people like myself.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there.

The array of activities, such as cycling, horse riding, and hiking, made for an exciting and adventurous family getaway. The hotel even offered bike rentals, which made it convenient for us to explore the area and enjoy the stunning landscapes.
My wife says that it would have been great to have a playground or a dedicated kids' area at the hotel for our children to play and interact with other kids.

I had a really comfortable stay in a nice hotel right in the center of town. the room was clean, updated, spacious and comfortable. the location was great, as it was located right in the old town and close to the ruins. the staff was very helpful and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. I also heard great things about the food at the restaurant.
The wifi was a bit spotty, especially in the evening when the restaurant below was busy.

We stayed at Gasthaus Zum Hirschen and it was exactly what we asked for. Our room was spacious and had three beds, an ensuite bathroom, a couch, a table and chairs, and a small balcony. We were able to park right outside and the check-in process was smooth with a very kind woman who spoke great English. the town of Staufen is enchanting and offers great food options both at the hotel and on the street. the breakfast at the hotel was really good, and we particularly enjoyed the lovely rhubarb cake. We even took a walk up to the ruins through the grape vines before breakfast. We totally recommend this place for a delightful stay.
Liked everything! 😉

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to explore the surrounding area. The room was recently renovated and had a high standard of comfort and cleanliness.
The wifi in the rooms didn't work, but was available in the restaurant area. the hotel was quite noisy during the Carnival week, which was not mentioned prior to our stay.
